Nubiq at CTIA

Nubiq will be at CTIA next week to launch the alpha trials of MobiSeer – a mobile site search, discovery and personalisation tool – not only will you be able to find what you need in the million+ mobile sites that exist now, but you can setup a cool account, tag and bag your favourites – ‘bringing search a click closer’ (thank you, thank you.)

Mobiseer – will be available to a closed group to trial from next week – I’ve had a go and it’s great!

Anyway – Nubiq will be bringing MobiSeer and Zinadoo and having a laugh on the dotMobi stand … well hopefully anyway.

gotta run -the weekend just started and I am late for squash..

Cricket

This is shocking. I heard something last night on the news and then confirmation this morning. The police in Jamaica say the Pakistani coach was strangled! Naturally it tarnishes the huge victory the Ireland cricket team had over Pakistan just the day before his death.

I don’t know much about cricket, but I’m learning. One has to when one lives with a south african cricket-mad-man. Good luck tomorrow babe against the Ozzies.

Africa December 2006

Hi – Paul and I travelled to South Africa and Namibia in December 2006. We flew into Cape Town, caught up wtih Doug and then flew via Jo’Burg to Namibia for 10 days of 4×4 adventure in the desert. amazing. We flew back to Jo’burg to spend xmas with Pauls family and friends. Awesome. A welcome any Irishman would envy.

Paul Watson is from Durban originally. Many will already be familiar with his flickr page. (don’t be afraid of the one-a-day series!Fi & Paul Hout Bay SA 06)

There were so many sights to see on this trip – we had so much fun! I can’t wait to return. Namibia was amazing – we went to Etosha National Park and saw amongst many many others, lions, elephants, rhino, springbok, Gemsbok (Oryx), zebra, wildebeast and many many eagles, vultures and other types of birds. When you come from Ireland where the most you see might be a fox or badger, then this is big game!!

Of course we had to have a kickass buggy to get around in…

Looks like weather ahead..

So this wouldn’t be complete without a huge thank you to Pauls’ wonderful family for taking such great care of us. Stella, Doug, Julia and Marc for giving up their bedroom, Mary and her family for feeding us and making us welcome for Christmas Day, Skye, Frederik, Stella and Fanus. Wonderful!

I wish I could put in here all the pics I took but I think you’ll get a good idea from my flickr page and Pauls. Heres’ a taster, this guy nearly walked over us in the truck..I suppose I did park a little close….!! There was so much more.. but I’ll keep adding photo’s to flickr and here and they will tell the whole story…like when a jackal stole our sausages from the wall of our camping area at the Sesriem campsite at Soussesvlei….those eyes in the torchlight…very spooky.

Up Close and Personal Etosha Dec06

Way too long

Hi – yes it’s been way too long since I got myself sorted to write in this.

I pledge to update – however, I haven’t yet decided on a theme to my blog…perhaps just a personal update space, or a non-tech view of tech that I come across…or adventures past and future…or perhaps a bit of everything…

I have a wonderful boyfriend behind me – Paul M Watson – who’s always encouraging me to get out there on the web and leave my digital footprint…

Until next time.

Later!
