Leah Watson

well – it’s been a while but I haven’t been idle!  Leah Ellen Watson was born to Paul and I on July 18th 2008 at 13.58.  She weighed in at a mere 6lbs 6oz.  The very very super staff at Waterford Regional Hospital decided to bring Leah into the world and we began delivery at 1.30pm, Leah was born 28mins later.  Couldn’t wait to make her entrance!  I can’t describe adequately the feeling of pure joy when she was placed on my chest to say hello to mummy and daddy straight after birth.  The cord was cut and Leah started on her life in this world. Mummy and Daddy are still overwhelmed and amazed that we created this perfect little girl.  This little person came from me – still gets me! She’s 5 weeks old now and so alert, smart and interactive… Our families have been amazing – our friends have been amazing. Paul’s family are dying to meet her….so we are off to South Africa in January 2009 to meet the rest of the Watson clan.  I can’t wait.  She will be 6months old and I’m sure a little charmer.  Here are a couple of pics from the many many that daddy has taken and put up on his flickr site, check them out here.

Some pics:

she loves bathtime already – took to it straight away, cried when we took her out and now it helps to calm her…water baby in the making!

That’s it folks – until my next entry…Oh – I have to thank here my old friend Helen – Dr. Helen who has looked after us so so well over the past 10 months…see you friday hon, and thank you to all our friends who sent us so many beautiful gifts from home here and abroad!  We are very fortunate.
